Through the VLFM programme CII aims to create a community of people who share a national dream that
would the growth of the nation, would take India’s manufacturing sector to new global heights and also
the individual organizations to another level.

Both existing and new companies have joined this movement. Corporates such as Ashok Leyland, Anand Group,
Bosch, Godrej Group, Kilroskars, Sona Group and
TechNova have once again nominated participants. Corporate Groups such as Mahindra & Mahindra, and Yuken
Group are also participating in the programme for the 1st time. The companies are spread across sectors
with largest participation coming from Automotive Sector and their OEMs (46%) followed by Engineering
and Farm Equipment Sector (8% each). Others include industries such as Storage Solutions, Furniture, Tooling etc.
The participants of the Programme are senior industry leaders with more than 15 years experience. Participants
are expected to take on challenging assignments after they have gone through the course. More than 18% of the
participants of Batch 2 have experience of about 16-20 years in the manufacturing sector and another 15% with
experience of 21-25 years and hold positions of responsibility in their organizations.
